I just couldn’t see any reason to continue buying it from far away when we have such rich local resources.
This is our newest product line, and we are so excited for the launch! I was introduced to CBD by my child’s therapist who recommended it for anxiety and sleeplessness. I was amazed to witness how effective it was. It has made a huge difference in our family.
I purchased my first tincture from a company out of state, but it didn’t take me very long to realize that right here in Colorado, there are many hemp growers, and there are several who are environmentally conscious and who have made the appropriate investments to be able to use organic farming practices as well as using CO2 extraction methods. I just couldn’t see any reason to continue buying it from far away when we have such rich local resources. Now our policy is to use only Colorado grown CBD.
Since I have been making creams, salves, tinctures, and lotions for a while, it wasn’t too far of a stretch to learn how to make CBD infused items. I have spent hours upon hours researching CBD, it’s possible benefits and side effects, and exploring ways people have made use of it. I’m confident that these products can contribute to healthy lifestyles and support relief from several health issues. Of course, you should always consult your doctor before use.

If you’ve never used CBD, there are a couple of articles I would recommend reading as you begin your journey. The first is from Wellness Mama, who has been a wonderful resource for me since I first started crafting lotions and such. Her article on CBD is well-researched and I consider it a must read. You can find it here.
The second article helps demystify CBD dosing. There are several factors which will influence which items are right for you as well as how many milligrams you should use. I highly recommending reading and bookmarking this article for reference.
There is a lot of mis-information going around about CBD. Some people claim that it is fully legal in all states. My research has led me to believe this is a bit of a murky issue. While it seems that CBD extracted from the mature stalks and stems of hemp plants (which is what we use) is, in fact, completely legal, the problem is that CBD sourced from marijuana plants remains illegal in many places.
Even though the chemical composition is the same no matter which plant it is extracted from, by-products of marijuana plants are illegal in some places. To be absolutely sure not to put our customers at risk, we are currently only selling CBD infused products to our customers in states where every kind of CBD is legal. These states are Alaska, Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Colorado, Massachusetts, and Maine.
